Begging For More Charms

Assalamu'alaikum. My latest hobby is collecting and/or creating handbag charms, might be due to lack of energy to roam the outside world lately. Whenever I do go out though, I would wander about looking for anything suitable to create new charms. Yep, that spells Nai to the max, if you ask me. Otherwise, I would dig in and out existing accessories (mostly necklaces) that could be turned into charms. Well, better than just lying around in the boxes for ages without getting even touched!

This one I bought recently in PJ, lovely piece that didn't break anyone's purse at all, at all.

This necklace I've been keeping safely and soundly asleep for quite some time, so yeah, why not putting it for good use, right?

The same goes with this necklace, actually. For the past few years I've been donning wider and longer shawls, 'disabling' me from wearing much accessories underneath my hijabs. So, it's time to let my handbags wear them now. How about that?

And this one, I bought the same day with the 1st piece in PJ. I'm allergic to the furly thing, though. Gotta be careful not to touch it and rub me nose afterwards, that's all.

There are a few others that I have just finished working with, what fun and joy it's been, really. I might as well grab a piece or two from LV one day, when I really can afford one, of course. Really, really, really can afford one, that is.

I'm not sure how long this hobby would last, but until then, it will keep me very content and consumed: Happiness!

There goes nothing, thanks a bunch for dropping by. Take care and see you when I see you.

Find A Reason To Smile

Assalamu'alaikum.  It's Monday, 16th Ramadhan 1435 Hijrah. Germany is the new World Cup Champion and Argentina has lost with utmost pride. Now it's back to the Premiere League. Soon, baby.

Smile While You're Still Alive.

Direct Factory Outlet(s), Not So Much of A Shopper

Assalamu'alaikum. Okay, so I didn't plan to shop at any factory outlet in Melbourne, still don't believe  me? Hurmm.. Can't blame you. But seriously, I didn't shop much and I only went to ONE factory outlet - the nearest one from Coburg; so much so that I can't even remember its name! To me, DFO would be just nice, simple to remember.

I actually bought a sweater, two pullovers and two pairs of jeans. Wait, and a black leather jacket. I mean, don't you think it's as good as not shopping at all? Okay, not shopping much, I stand corrected.

The sweater.

One of the two pairs of jeans:

One of the pullovers:

And last but not least, the leather jacket I adore so much:

Not much, told you. Oh, there's another one, actually. I'll talk about it later, though. What a lame thing to update one's blog with, you might think. But heck, at least that keeps ze blog duly updated, y'all..! Hehhe. Sinful, huh? Yeah, guilty as charged. Catch you later!

Ikan Percik Terengganu

Assalamu'alaikum. This was our iftar last Sunday, actually but I'd been a bit busy to come up with even a quick post. So, this serves more like a qadha' - yeah, kinda. This Ikan Percik Terengganu was requested by my other half, being a serial fish lover. I prefer Percik Chicken myself, if you ask. I seldom cook this style because it is quite time consuming in the first place. Time consuming AND patience challenge to the max before getting to a perfect sauce.

I might do a separate entry on the recipe, though. You take care and thanks for dropping by.

Thai Cuisine In The House

Assalamu'alaikum. I'm typing this entry while watching the live telecast match between France and Germany, how epic could it get? I've always loved Germany and never really loved France as far as Word Cup is concerned, but this match is by far less entertaining to watch despite the fact that Germany has scored within few minutes of the first half. I mean, I expected more of France to put a much better fight. Then again, who am I to judge? Hehehe.

So, let's shift to my area of expertise as opposed to football, shall we? It's been a while since I last made any post from my little kitchen and for that reason alone I had vowed not to forget to snap pictures of whatever served on the table for iftar earlier today. The theme was Thai, apparently as you can tell looking at the pictures below. I chose to cook 2 separate tom yam (chicken for mom, prawn for hubby), chicken padprik and deep-fried squid and asked Bibik to boil some noodles in addition to rice. Of all those, I broke my fast with noodles and chicken tom yam as I had mentally planned before Asar prayer. I did however eat some rice later after tarawih prayer combining chicken tom yam and padprik.

By now I have settled the issue of what's coming for sahur less than 4 hours from now. I'll be just fine with the leftover of padprik, which is still plenty by the way and Bibik will only have to grill some beef for my husband before 5 am. That would wrap everything up, Insya Allah.

That's all for now, lovelies. Have a wonderful weekend and take care! Assalamu'alaikum.

The Shoes I Didn't Choose

Assalamu'alaikum. Malaysian Stand-up Comedian, Harith Iskandar was recorded to have said and did it with style, "Women Always Have Shoes They Didn't Buy". Bingo! Darn right, of course we do! ^^

I should've bought that shoes I so wanted! And now I can only dream away or alternatively, fly off to Saigon? What a waste! That's why I hate to choose when I want both.

Junior got 2 pairs, green and grey. His dad chose to settle for 1 pair and so did I, regretably.

Tak Pe La..

Next time, ya Nai..!
