Assalamu'alaikum. I had a semi-business lunch today with an acquaintance at Wangsa Walk and later on dropped by at AEON Big nearby for another appointment, this time rather personal. And I made a point of looking for a new ipad cover, replacing the 'broken' existing one, thanks to Junior. What a crowded Friday, as you can see below. The salesgirl snapped some pictures of me to prove that the cover wouldn't block any camera frame whatsoever like a few other covers would. Satisfied, I handed over RM50 to her and had it affixed immediately before walking out of the stall. So, this is a picture of me holding the ipad with the previous cover for the last time, as if knowing fully well that it would actually be the last. Yeah, it wasn't premeditated, obviously. A nice coincidence, I'd say. Still pink, obviously, being my favorite color for gadgets. Quite a bit too reasonable price for such a pretty thing, don't you think?  Let's hope this one would la...

Assalamu'alaikum. Last night I watched The Last Tycoon starring my long time fave actor, Chow Yun-Fat and I have been subdued ever since. Sigh. When he cried I couldn't help but crying as well, what a brilliant acting yet again! That has somewhat left me drained, literally. I guess the unaccquired love would always make it unrequired. Well, most of the times, that is.  And from the very beginning the songs have captured me, my nerves and my emotions. Oh! How much tears I shed..! Dear Yun-Fat, have you not become more handsome and adorable and stunningly brilliant? I've always been a fan and will always be. Assalamu'alaikum. Trench coat kaler oren ni aku beli lama dah, tapi takde tempat sesuai nak pakai. Maklum la, kat Malaysia ni kan panas je memanjang, ikut mana pun kena carik tempat aircond kuat baru boleh pakai. Jadi, masa pergi Melbourne tahun lepas aku dengan yakin dan percayanya pakai kat sana. Sekali keluar van je, amik kau..! Menggigil kepala lutut, terus tiba-tiba trench coat tu jadik sangat nipis, okay?  Nampak tak aku duk menahan sejuk dalam gambar kat atas? Elok je lepas ambik gambar tu, menggelabah carik wool overcoat, balut balut balut. Ngeee.. ^_^  Pengajarannya, sila jangan over-confident ya kalau ada baju tebal kat kampung.. Assalamu'alaikum. Yesterday my sister insisted to snap my OOTD, what a surprise! She must have had fever or something, that was what I thought. With the shades still on, she repeatedly asked for my phone to do so. I was just coming from the nearest groceries store and aiming to have my lunch at home but yeah, why not? Been a while since I've had any OOTD post lately. The ensemble from head to toe was a mix and match, which didn't require any ironing. The satin long shawl, the cardigan and the maxi dress had turned out to be my bestest buddies, even somewhat impromptu. And looking at the pictures now I think I can pass a verdict of yet another overdressed day for doing groceries. Never mind, that's what and who I am at work. 

Assalamu'alaikum. How are you guys doing? I used to wear lacey inner every now and then when I was in Uni, which was more than a decade ago. Quite some time afterwards, I have just recently started to relive the lacey thingy yet once more. This time around I layered it over another inner so as to really cover my hair. I've got a few colors but my fave is the green one, which you can see in the following two pictures:- Yeah, love it so much that I keep wearing it every other day possible. Gotta get a few more, of course.  ^_^

Assalamu'alaikum. Sesiapa yang suka laut dan pantai biasanya akan suka bercuti kat pulau. Salah sorangnya akulah tu, dari dulu sampai sekarang tak sudah-sudah bercuti kat pulau. Masa pergi Kota Kinabalu hari tu pun sama, tak lepaskan peluang menjenguk salah satu daripada pulau-pulau yang jadi tarikan di sana - Pulau Manukan namanya. Cantik sangat, Masya Allah.. Hijau okay air dia..! Tapi jangan lupa pakai shades dan sila sapu sun-block secukup rasa, ya.. Terbakar kulit korang nanti, panas sungguh tempat itu, okay! Lain la kalau korang memang suka kulit tan, silakanlah.. Mat & Minah Saleh selamba je berjemur, kulit dah macam udang kena bako.. Tak Pe Je pun...! Kami antara yang paling awal sampai, maka sempat la bolot satu pangkin untuk lepak dan letak apa yang patut. Pokok pun elok je merimbuni kawasan, kasi kami berteduh dengan nyaman yang amat. Angin pantai pun mengelus lembut, chewah.. Tetiba aku rasa jiwang macam zaman-zaman sekolah dulu. Aku turun jugak sekej...

Assalamu'alaikum. How was your weekend, dearest friends? Mine was productive as much as relaxing, so to speak but for my son, it was one brilliant heck of a weekend. Earlier in the half quarter of Saturday, he and his aunt had accompanied me to his school for the Report Card Day - a result of which made us proud. And that gave him quite a remarkable licence to ka-ching his long-awaited toy, some Kamen Rider's belt. I didn't really think it was a good idea but his dad was more than melted with his good result and somehow relented it, even with tight face (for me to notice). Well, at least the boy knew how much hard work to deserve such a big reward, that was his dad's justification.  And I couldn't agree more. Long gone was his preference for things like Spongebob, which of course would be friendlier to the wallet.  Today the boy woke up early in the morning for Fajr prayer and went to school with big grin on his face. Assalamu'alaikum. Hari Rabu lepas aku main capai je mana baju yang dah siap bergosok dalam almari. Sekali, kebaya sutera pink-hijau masa raya 4 ke 5 tahun yang lepas je available. Siap ada lagi tag dobi yang aku hantar dry-clean kat hujung kain, boleh? So, berkebayalah aku hari tu julung-julung kalinya dari pagi sampai petang, membuatkan aku rasa nak gi tempah sepasang dua kebaya baru. Hehehe. Nak dijadikan cerita, dapat berita anak aku demam dan ayah dia dah gi ambik kat sekolah, bawak ke klinik. Ok lagi aku, takde rasa apa pun, ye la memang dah masuk musim demam kan sekarang? Tapi next call, aku dah agak kalut sebab katanya demam terlampau panas dah dekat 40 degree Celcius DAN ada merah-merah kat tangan tanda kapilari darah pecah. Huh? Segeralah aku tukar baju (in record time), sebab worst case scenario kot2 la Junior kena masuk wad takkan la aku berkebaya segala..! Assalamu'alaikum. How are you guys doing? It's Friday and most of us just can't wait to call it a day, right? Anyways, today I wanna share with you guys a number of wonderful servings that I had the chance to taste recently. I don't normally snap pictures before savoring most dish, so this time I had made myself a promise not to repeat the same 'mistake', hence the following pictures;- Sup Ekor - Be extra 'polite' for the first few sips, ya! Hot & Spicy But Very Tasty. Ayam Percik - I particularly loved the chicken, even without the paste to begin with. And this was a tasting plate of three different styles of cooking - goreng (fried) masak asam (sour) & tumis (chillies). Assalamu'alaikum. Yesterday afternoon I accompanied a client to Nilai for some long-sought mission after attending a matter in Sepang, which explains my very formal black and white attire. Then I was driven by the client to KLIA where I took the Express Rail Link (ERL) to KL Sentral. Hence, the self-camwhoring. ^_^  That client has always been very generous with lots of presents by far and today I was given a floral pinkish shawl from Jeddah, which I decided to wear for a dinner in Bukit Bintang later at night. Here are two pictures to share with you guys: I wouldn't have chosen that kind of print myself but I kinda liked it nonetheless. How thoughtful of that person, don't you think? Assalamu'alaikum. Aku memang dah tak reti langsung bawak kereta manual, rugi kan? Lulus je driving test (belum dapat pun lesen) tengahari, malam tu jugak cik abang dah suruh aku pusing satu KL naik kereta (automatik) dia masa tu, Proton Waja. Keluar semua peluh jantan betina pun, kuredahi jua. Gigihnya la bekas askar tu menidakkan ketakutanku. Sejak malam tu, tak pernah sekali pun aku bawak kereta manual. Dan tak pernah terfikir nak bawak pun, sebenarnya.  Sampai la minggu lepas masa kat Sabah. Kereta yang cik abang sewa kat sana tu Proton Persona manual, tak macam kereta-kereta automatik yang dia biasa sewa kat Langkawi. Aku lepak je bercinta duk sebelah, kan? Sekali dia berhenti beli bahan-bahan kering kat Pasar Tamu, buat double parking, suruh aku alihkan aje ke depan kalau kereta nak masuk atau keluar. Amek ko... Padan muka! Assalamu'alaikum. Ok. So, I feel like sharing this piece here. 

Assalamu'alaikum. Last week I spent a few days in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah together with my son and his dad. Since we rented a car without any tourist guide or local driver, we survived with the popular navigation app by the name of 'Waze'. And together we navigated our way to Tamparuli's Upside-Down House, which was awesome to bits! I was as thrilled as my son was to see the upside-down real things at the gated compound, even before we got into the house itself. Unfortunately, no photographs or videos allowed inside the house, so you just have got to see for yourselves, ya!  Well, let the pictures speak for themselves... We were amazed to see the details and creativeness of everything there, especially inside the house. Kudos to those in charge of the attraction, from the grass root to the top level. Definitely a must-see place if you guys go to Kota Kinabalu, really.  That's all for now, thanks for dropping by. Much love,...

Assalamu'alaikum. A few hours earlier on, I sent a message via whatsapp to a friend of a friend, who apparently had to act as a messenger to pass me some documents at the airport. Knowing fully well that he had never met me before, despite the whatsapp's profile picture - he'd better be given some descriptions. So, I wrote this: "I'm a specky wearing yellow hijab, blue-brown plaid blouse and beige jeans", to which he replied, "At which gate? I'm in between Gate 1 and Gate 2". Just seconds after I replied "Gate 3", a guy came toward me with big grin on his face while we were exchanging an 'acknowledging-approving' look. He gave the documents and left, simply as that. So, here is how I looked like: Minus the shades, of course. Or the following, minus the blazer: Point is, descriptions do matter, so we'd better get them right no matter how brief they would be. Forgive the sleepy face of mine, been chasing the clock these days of late..!  The colorful oversized tudung bawal was a bliss it turned out to be. Else, I'd have looked even sleepier.
