Daddy's Love ~ From My Little Boy's Eyes

Salam. Today I wanna share with you guys a poem by an unknown author, which I called "From My Little Boy's Eyes". Here goes: There are little eyes upon you and they're watching nights and days. There are little ears that quickly take in whatever you say. There are little hands all eager to do anything you do; and a little boy who's dreaming of the day he'll be like you. You're the little fellow's idol; you're the wisest of the wise. In his little mind about you no suspicions ever rise. He believes in you devoutly, holds what you say and do; he will say and do, in your way when he's grown up just like you. There's a wide-eyed little fellow who believes you're always right; and his eyes are always opened, and he watches day and night. You're setting an example everyday in all you do; for the little boy who's waiting to grow up just like you. ... One day, when this blog becomes an old diary that my lit...

Saturday Outing

Image
Salam. Hope your weekend has been awesome so far. Mine was superb, quality time from daylight till not so light.   It was the time for Madagascar 3, as promised. The show started at 4pm, but we took off earlier to grab some lunch.  Nothing beats the joy of seeing your loved ones eat so passionately.  My small group has always casually dressed, so I myself chose to dress down to fit in well. Gotta put a jacket on, though, since the tee was sleeveless.  I also buckled a belt so dear to me around the waist. (Psst.. this was another nightie, actually). Love the prints! I guess the light yellow square voile Hijab matched well with it. I kinda missed my jeans so much that I just had to wear them. And completed the look with a pair of shoes with strings.   When the day was lighted with neon, we were still outside. The jacket was already became nasty to the sweat. It was time to go home. I ate so much that I resolved to burn some calories on the bike but I cou...

Prosperous Pink Friday

Image
Salam. Juma'ah Barakah everybody. How was your day?  Mine was a packed, tiring but still wonderful one, Alhamdulillah.   It was a Pink Friday for me. Another pair of loose chiffon batik print from the closet of mine. Together with a pink inner dress of the same age.  I used to wear those two a lot about 4, 5 years ago. The Hijab was a square embroidered shocking pink. And a pair of pink sequinned pumps. All those pictures had been taken by my junior friend, Miss H. When we met at the Shah Alam City Centre (SACC) Mall, Selangor after office hour.  Really look forward to seeing her again soon. Insya Allah. That's all, folks. Thanks for dropping by. xx, TPJ.

Najwa ~ New Hijabi On The Block

Image
Salam.  It all started with Yuna Zarai . Then, came a New Hijabi On the Block by the name of Najwa Latif, whom I didn't take much interest in. Her debut single, Cinta Muka Buku (Facebook Love) wasn't my cup of tea, frankly speaking. Until I heard her latest single, Kosong (Empty). And her collaboration with Singaporean hip-hop duo, Sleeq ~ Untuk Dia (For Her).   She's quite something and looks like she's heading nowhere other than ahead. I think I'm starting to like her more and more each song goes by. Her fashion sense has somewhat improved as well, slowly but surely. What a sweet lil thing she is.. Thanks for dropping by, folks. That's all for now. xx, TPJ.

Harmonizing Blue and Red

Image
Salam. Felt like digging in some old stuff in my closet for so-called 'room adjustment'. And picked something up to actually mix and match ~ a loose batik print chiffon top. Turquoise Blue brushed with a touch of pink and yellow rainbow-like patterns. I paired it with the followings: 1)   Laced Hijab in black, which was half sewn with red cotton. 2) Blue inner scarf.  3) Two-pieces black & maroon maxi dress from Hijabi Boutique . I didn't feel like accessorizing it much, enough with this sparkling necklace.  Pardon me for the quality of the shots, you can't really see the black and red laced hijab.  It was a bit too loose may be, even for me. Yeah, later on I'd have to actually wear a belt to make some style out of it, I guess... Until next time, folks. Thanks for dropping by. xx, TPJ.

Cotton-Sateen Part 1(a)

Image
Salam. So, here comes the sequel for the Cotton-Sateen soap opera. This one was  the 2nd item I made from the same fabric of 4 meters ~ bragged about the 1st item, which was a blouse here . The long dress was matched with: 1- Brown Cardigan 2- Two-Tone Pink Hijab  3- Blue Inner Scarf 4- Blue Wedges I heart Afridafabricut . Officially a Cotton-Sateen Serial Admirer now. By the way, felt so good attending a few meetings today wearing the new dress. Well.. It's All In Your Mind.. *wink. Thanks a lot you guys for keep coming back. I'm eternally humbled. xx, TPJ.

We Fall We Learn

Image
Salam. How are you guys doing? Today I feel like sharing a poem about raising a child ~ The Cause and Effect, as I view it.  "If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn. If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight. If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy. If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty. If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient. If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence. If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate. If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice. If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith. If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself. If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world." ... Well, we might not have been brought up with good parenting skills. It wasn't our parents' faults if they didn't have that. Or the fact that their parents didn't have it either, hen...
