Transition Morning to Evening

Assalamu’alaikum. Hi there, guys.. hope you’re doing great wherever you are reading this post from. Today I’m gonna write about transition of formal outfit into something more smart casual, hijabi style. Malaysia is a tropical country where it’s mostly hot, if it’s not hotter or hottest (apart from rainy seasons when the heat pauses, somehow or rather). So if your line of work requires a full set of blazer and matching pants or skirts, for that matter, this post would serve you good.

In my case, it’s almost impossible to stay clad in the same formal attire the entire day unless I’ll be spending every minute in a heavily air-conditioned premise. So whenever I need to run here and there out in the summer heat, I would rather change into something roomier and breezier, if you know what I mean. Even if I might still wear the same blouse, hijab and socks the whole day, the blazer and its matching skirt won’t linger, not a chance!

Entered the striped baggy pants a.k.a palazzo, then you’re good to attend a meeting outside the office. Don’t forget to slip into a pair of comfortable shoes if you need to walk quite a lot. Yes I know heels are pretty but hey, they’re not meant for long and fast strides, right? Unless you’re ok with the swelling later in the evening, because beauty is pain, right?

Wrong. Choose wisely, dear sisters! Block heals are much better for your back bones, so please…

Then again, the most important thing(s) to wear are your smile and confidence. Be merry and let the game begin!
