Salam. My sister said I've been so 80's (or was it 90's, I kinda forgot already) for being so much in love with denim/jeans outfits. Well, I don't think it made me love them less.  Been wearing denim everywhere.  Makes me feel so ME. Well, until hijabi fashion has somewhat evolved into much better pictures. Now that maxi skirts are within reach, I don't have to be clad in jeans skirt(s) all the time. But old habit dies hard. Call me old fashion, I'm fine with it. I'm in my 30's, may be I am old. Salam. When I wanted to begin this entry and searched for J. Kadison's When A Woman Cries in the you.tube, I found this video. It was a good one, at least I could get something from a man's point of view. And his sincerity was plain to see.  Men and women are meant to be different. To complete one another. But in some areas where the differences are too wide apart, things begin to be in conflict. That needs patience and tolerance and support and every other positive nouns and verbs the vocabularies could offer. The biggest don't is to stop her. Oh no, she won't stop. She CAN'T. Asking her why won't help either. That would only make her cry even harder. Let alone bark and force her to talk it out. That kills her inside. Or worst, hit her (or hit something else, even). That tears her apart.  Buries her alive. She cries because she's alive. She'll stop when she's dead. When she's dead before her time comes, she's the colde...

  Salam. Apart from Langkawi Island in Kedah, I've always loved Pangkor Island in Perak. But the latter is somewhat much easier to go, being only three and a half hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur all the way to Lumut Jetty. From there we took Ferry Shuttle to Pangkor Island. What a lovely way to start off the New Year 2012. Yeah, this thing took place in the first week of January. Magnificent view @ Kota Belanda We chose a cozy and beautiful guest house called the Princess Homestay at Kota Belanda. It was a family trip of 11, from the family members' monthly contributions. We fell in love with the homestay instantly, especially the balcony. We even had our incredible BBQ there. Salam. Now I wanna share with you guys about Being ME (Muslimah Empowered) Conference that took place on Saturday, 30th day of June the year of 2012. This franchise of sisters only event by Mercy Mission was the debut in Malaysia. It received such an overwhelming response that 2,000 sisters showed up and there were not enough seats. Thanks to capable hands and feet of the committee, things got handled smoothly. Alhamdulillah. Congrats and a round of applause...! So, it was such a packed event altogether, with sisters and programs respectively. It was so obvious when you see the toilets and praying rooms flooded with sisters all over Matrade Exhibition Centre. I even decided to pray at a secluded corner nearby the toilet, where they stored loads of tables or something. A few sisters came and asked me how on earth I knew the qiblat direction? I smiled and showed them the above map from my beloved device. They followed suit afterwards, using the same hiding place of mine.  So, what...
