Taman Safari Indonesia Cisarua-Bogor : Fauna Spotted.

Assalamu'alaikum. Finally this entry is open to public. The Q is up apparently. Well, let's begin with the view when bananas exchanged hands in the van. We stopped to buy bananas and carrots to feed the animals in the safari but of course we couldn't resist the sweet bananas to merely let the animals have them! Makan pisang dulu!!!

We were greeted first and foremost by the camels and llamas, what a superb sight it was!

Talking about live experience, huh? Way better than watching the Animal Planet in 3 Dimensions, but of course!

Junior was so thrilled feeding the animals as much as we were thrilled looking at the scene.

I mean, who would know those animals love carrots in the first place? I've always thought only rabbits eat them, now what a fool I've been. LOL.

Cozy dating place, I'd say. Would you not sit under such natural canopy and talk about everything and nothing at all? I'd even love to eat pisang goreng and sip hot tea or coffee in the evening there, jom be my date?

And think giraffes wouldn't buldge for the carrots?

Think again! But not the king and the queen, come on now..!

The aura they brought, phewww...!

The tigers seemed to spend a lot of time thinking and day dreaming there in the safari.

Their castles were quite something, don't you think?

Up above the rest, no less. Hurmm...

The zebras and carrots: Zebrots. Hehehhehe.

We were surprised to see the crocodiles lived happily ever after together with the deers. I mean, would you not expect the former to at least try to hurt the latter?

So we came to a conclusion that in the world of survival, sufficient food would make animals better friends with one another. It's no longer about kingdoms, it seems.

The nosy llamas were everywhere tailing the vehicles around.

Or should we say smart? I think hardworking would be better term.

Man Jadda Wa Jada. Those Who Strive Would Succeed. But take a look at the big guy over there, don't you think he was being too complacent and taking things for granted? LOL.

Funny but true. Even the elephants were not that lazy. Not lazy one bit, in fact.

Well, there were loads of ongoing activities in the safari as well with separate entrance fees, of course. We just went to see the dolphins' and cowboy's shows.

It was raining then and mom couldn't stand the coldness, what more hilly roads. She got athma attacks after the dolphins' show.

And the sadness began. Families stick together, right? While climbing up to the place where the cowboys' show took place, my husband literally carried mom on his back, which brought tears to mom's eyes.

We didn't know that the place would need us to walk such hilly roads, seriously. We sure learned our lessons in a hard way but next time we know what to add in our travel checklist. We fall we learn, right? That's the beauty of life.

Apart from such hiccups, everything went well. It was a great place to visit, really.

If you're travelling to Indonesia this time of the year, please bring along jackets, umbrellas/rain ponchos with you. And if you're donning designer's handbangs, please ensure there's an extra pouch to protect them from the rain, if you know what I meant. Or else, you'd end up covering your handbags instead of yourselves. LOL.

There you go, friends. Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekdays ahead. Happy holidays in advance! Assalamu'alaikum.

Juma'ah Barakah : One Heck of A Day

Assalamu'alaikum. It's officially Saturday now that it's passed midnight. How have you guys been doing? My day started very trying as early as 10 o'clock on Friday morning when I was about to leave the house to Subang Parade for an appointment. Mom wasn't well at all and thank God my brother Mie had already arrived from Rawang and by the time I was on the road he whatsapped me to decide to which hospital mom was supposed to be admitted. Mom asked him to wait for my decision before allowing her favorite clinical doctor to sign a referral letter. That settled, I had to make some arrangements via phone, Alhamdulillah for today's technology. There at Subang Parade I anxiously waited for the scheduled appointment at 11 and was about to call it off some 40 minutes later because my continuous calls were not answered. Thank God the person did finally show up and I had to exercise my best focus possible not to brush things off and let people down but I had to however excuse myself much earlier to catch mom at the hospital.

Mom was on her 2nd nebuliser when I arrived and refused to eat anything despite the fact that it was already 1 o'clock something and she hadn't eaten anything. Think I would relent without a fight? Hurmm.. Not me. By the 3rd nebuliser I could finally make her smile and bite some bread and I excused myself to go to pray Zuhur with my sister, who had been there since 11am. When mom's condition was stabil at 4.17pm we finally went to have our lunch before praying Asar. By then my brother Apih had arrived from his audit duty at Melaka. We had a mini catching up at the cafeteria, which was a great help under such circumstance.

I was home before Maghrib and literally pengsan in my telekung right until Isyak. By then my sister Ida had to bring along my maid to accompany mom at the hospital tonight. Mom would be okay Insya Allah.. It's been 2 years since she had to be under this kind of situation, which means that she has improved a lot. Alhamdulillah. At least she could rest, I told her.

You might wonder why I still had photos taken despite being under such circumstances, well that's called stress management. It's a good therapy to minimize unnecessary heart pumping, you should try it. Take a very good care of yourselves and have a wonderful weekend ahead !

Pancit Sudah

Assalamu'alaikum. How are you guys doing? I've been very busy with tons and tons of work since coming back from Indonesia. Not to mention juggling with causepapers in the office as opposed to taking care of mom and Junior whose fever has been on and off.

I pon demam jugak actually tapi kejap je la.. Tak mampu nak demam lama-lama. Last Friday evening I was down flat with fever right throughout the weekend and came Monday I had to kick my arms and legs at work already, by hook or by crook. And last 2 nights I had to stay back until 10.30pm preparing for a heart wrenching trial that was scheduled today.

So yeah, I'm officially punctured now but still having the adrenaline left to spend time with Junior and his dad at KLCC. Duduk kat mana2 yang ada kerusi masa tunggu Junior beli buku..

Oh boy! Quite a handfull catch it was!

Gonna have a nice dinner soon, I hope my appetite would be real good to my tired bones. Bantal mana bantal? Hurmm.. Letih gila kot!

You have a wonderful weekend ahead, dearest. Thanks for dropping by! Assalamu'alaikum.

Makan-Makan Di Taman Safari Indonesia : Cisarua-Bogor

Assalamu'alaikum. The franchise of Jakarta-Bandung trip's entries continues today with the eatery place we visited at Taman Safari Indonesia, Cisarua - Bogor. And yeah, the entry about the safari itself will have to wait, now let's apply the Q'ing regulation sometimes, yes? Driving around such a humongous hectares of wild safari was fun but still you couldn't help feeling hungry when the time came. So, we checked ourselves in Rimba Restaurant in the safari area for lunch.

It was raining and the scenery was cozy and very inviting. The food there was inevitably more expensive than the price you would get outside but then again, what would you expect from such tourist attraction? However, it was much more worthy the money as compared to those available in the Universal Studio, Singapore or Disneyland, Hong Kong ~ to compare the least.

We were very happy with the food there, to say the least. Those who chose Nasi Padang were satisfied with the taste just as much as those who chose Bakso.

For all we knew, the Bakso was superb and ze best ever in town!

We could still feel the frenzy crazy deliciousness in our tongues, can you believe it?

Even mom and MIL loved their food selections. Alhamdulillah...

And Junior? Well, he was more than happy to have his fried chicken and burger and fries.

The Safari Fried Chicken...

The festive deco was everywhere...

Christmas was around the corner, hence the tree.

So, the verdict? Hands down, baby!

Taman Mini Indonesia: Indah & Mempesona.

Assalamu'alaikum. So many bitter-sweet things had happened while we were in Jakarta and Bandung vacationing. So much so that we had to cancel loads of scheduled programs, for most of us had fallen sick one after another. Anyways, let's talk about the sweet things, shall we? I'd however skip the 1st day's activities at this juncture and jump into the 2nd day's when we visited Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Jakarta a.k.a TMII.

I'd just leave the link above for the related infos you might wanna find out. We decided to merely make one big tour on the chartered van and stopped at Rumah Minang to snap some pictures. Mom was so happy to reminisce the memories she had with dad some 5 years ago in Padang, West Sumatera.

The miniatures of traditional Minangkabau houses (and the rest of the available buildings there) were nothing near mini, mind you. That's what so special about TMII among other things.

We were all smiles as you can see..

Marvelled. Taken. Captured. The eyes of the travellers.

Who wouldn't wanna stay in this house, right?

Awaiting the photos taken by the cameraman to be delivered.

We ended up taking almost all of them for the sake of memories.

Minang would just be Kabau without the religion (Islam), our Minang friend Bujang used to say.

There goes nothing, really. Thanks anyway for dropping by. Sampai jumpa! Assalamu'alaikum.
