Thai Cuisine In The House

Assalamu'alaikum. I'm typing this entry while watching the live telecast match between France and Germany, how epic could it get? I've always loved Germany and never really loved France as far as Word Cup is concerned, but this match is by far less entertaining to watch despite the fact that Germany has scored within few minutes of the first half. I mean, I expected more of France to put a much better fight. Then again, who am I to judge? Hehehe.

So, let's shift to my area of expertise as opposed to football, shall we? It's been a while since I last made any post from my little kitchen and for that reason alone I had vowed not to forget to snap pictures of whatever served on the table for iftar earlier today. The theme was Thai, apparently as you can tell looking at the pictures below. I chose to cook 2 separate tom yam (chicken for mom, prawn for hubby), chicken padprik and deep-fried squid and asked Bibik to boil some noodles in addition to rice. Of all those, I broke my fast with noodles and chicken tom yam as I had mentally planned before Asar prayer. I did however eat some rice later after tarawih prayer combining chicken tom yam and padprik.

By now I have settled the issue of what's coming for sahur less than 4 hours from now. I'll be just fine with the leftover of padprik, which is still plenty by the way and Bibik will only have to grill some beef for my husband before 5 am. That would wrap everything up, Insya Allah.

That's all for now, lovelies. Have a wonderful weekend and take care! Assalamu'alaikum.
