Salam. How are you guys doing? You know, when I started working more than a decade ago, I really struggled to find modest smart suits and couldn't afford to have them tailored. After a while, I managed to find a Chinese tailor whose price was very friendly to the purse. So he's been customizing my longs skirt suits as long as I can remember now. Most of them are black or dark blue, although I also have earthy and grey ones. It's forever sunny here in Kuala Lumpur, with unpredictable rain throughout the year, so I'd rather carry the jacket before it's supposed to be put on. Sooo business-like, which is not my cup of tea but my slice of bread, indeed. But it's always good in an air-cond compound, especially when there are loads of formal meetings or long-hour conferences bla bla bla bla. Oh, the sandals.. Salam. It's Wednesday already, almost the end of this week. Like they say, one of the signs Qiyamat is approaching is that the time becomes shorter each day. Anyways, it's yet another appointment day for me today. And I wore my 1st ever hooded blouse. Wow! Sooo backdated, hehehe.  I loved the simplicity of it, should have bought some long time ago. It's just that I couldn't find any with this kinda cutting or length before. Actually I chose to ka-ching one size bigger, which I am now thankful. And I did some front covering with a modified awning hijab. Well, the awning was damaged some time now, so I scissored it off to leave only the body, literally speaking. It worked for me. Salam. It's me again, posting one entry after another. Mostly because my other half has been away for several days now. One way of channeling my free time, I guess. This time, let's talk about Arabian perfumes. Aahh... I never actually liked Arabian scent of perfumes before, being a serious lover of Western brands. Not until I went to the Arabian Oud, London last December. Because of the currency exchange and didn't have much left to spend, I only grabbed 2 bottles of the best scents I've ever smelled all my life. Actually I had every intention to get a few more in Abu Dhabi a few days afterwards. But what awaited me there was beyond my expectation whatsoever. I fell in love with Rasasi chain of perfumes.  And since the currency was very friendly to the purse, I ended up buying  a little bit loads more. 9 bottles to be exact. Crazy..! Salam. Mondays are not any worker's best friends. Mostly it's Monday Blues for everybody. Except of course if you're Everyday Blues person.  Or a No Blues Day whatsoever person. * wink * wink As they say, wear something nice to lighten or brighten up your day. For colors do give an impact or two in mood swings. So I wore pink this week to start my Monday, or should I say instead: I officially wore pink on Monday to start my week? That's more like it.. For the record, the wonderful curtain and sheer behind me had been made by a very pretty and smartly dressed lady who owns Nykolett Curtain & Soft Furnishing .  After work I went to get some stuffs for the office. Gotta drop by at Jakel Fabric House to pray Maghrib and of course had to fight not to 'browse' any sections there. And this pink maxi dress was from Hijabi Boutique . But of course.. ^_^ Truly, the right choice of color had made my Monday so pinkish. ...

Salam.  It's been a long Sunday for me. Well, at least before lunchtime. Before I got stuck in total boredom, I dragged my son downtown. We took off after Zuhr prayer and his Qur'an lesson with my mom.  We went to Jalan Masjid India, the center of street market in Kuala Lumpur. I was at the wheel already when my brother-in-law hurried to take over. Obviously he didn't want me to drive, knowing my health condition. My hubby must have reminded him before going outstation, I guess. It's good to be surrounded by loads of modest outfits... My son has mastered most of his 8 years snapping mummy's pictures. I bought 2 new blouses from this store, by the way. At this juncture that he accidentally dropped daddy's pre-loved digital camera. It cracked and a bit dismantled but mummy was too happy to lift an eyebrow. ^_^ Anyways, it was still working alright. He's been asking to go to McDonald since down with fever last 2 ...

Salam. Aku dah lama beli kain sari buat baju raya. Tahun lepas aku beli 5 pasang sari sifon, best yaamat pakai. Lining aku guna cotton. I've been buying sarees for my Eid clothes quite a while now. Last year I bought 5 pcs chiffon sarees, felt like heaven to wear. The lining I used cotton. Sebab aku suka yaamat, aku pun suruh la Kak Ani jiranku yang selama ni duk sabar je dgn karenah aku mintak buat macam2 jenis tudung tu, jahit tudung dari lebihan sari-sari sifon itiew.  Hasilnya, macam gambar2 kat bawah ni haa... Since I loved them so much, I asked my neighbour-tailor, who's been customizing my hijabs to come up with sheer hijabs from the fabrics. Salam. Dulu kan bukan senang nak cari blouse labuh. Kalau ada pun kena tempah. Hijabista memang kena kreatif habis, Islamisasikan pakaian. Macam baju kaler hijau merak kat bawah ni, aku beli kat wholeseller fesyen Korea 3 tahun lepas. Tu pun jenuh nak kena carik stokin tangan kasik tutup aurat. Dan kalau ikutkan, stokin tu ikut bentuk tangan sangat, masih tak cukup syarat. Tapi masa tu itulah yang terbaik pada pemahaman aku.  Sekarang dah ada perbincangan terperinci pasal menda2 nih, maka aku kena review la pemakaian macam tuh. Memandangkan semua jeans aku sendat2, maka tak lulus piawaian nak jodohkan dengan blouse nih. Digantikan la dengan pants. Terus jadi smart casual.
