Muslimah Swimsuit Cover-up

Assalamu'alaikum. I bought two pairs of swimsuit cover-ups in Lumut Jetty, Perak last year. The first time I wore it to layer a tight maxi dress for a wedding ceremony of my friend. And the second was when I went to Bali recently to layer my swimsuit, which let's just call.. Served the purpose, shall we?

It really worked, you know. A least you won't be seen in your swimsuit all the time, even when you're not near water. Coz I always feel self-conscious in swimsuit, the cover-up is a darling to me, dear friends..!

Some people like to use pario to serve such purpose. I bought a pair myself, but I used it as a hijab. Ngeee... Well, fine with me. So long as it's not hot a material. Here's a picture of myself wearing the pario-turned-hijab after the water slide and snorkeling in the ocean:

Bottom line is, we should be firm when it comes to our personal stand, what more our religious teachings. Well, that's it, girls. Thanks for dropping by, love you much!

Bali, the Island of Arts

Assalamu'alaikum. I love arts and thus, I find Bali a very magnificent island full of arts left right center. And I really have this ambition to fill my house with a few collections of arts from Bali, when I can afford to do so. Insya Allah.

When I went to one of the must-see tourist attractions in Bali, I decided to have my Ukhti T-shirt hand printed with scenery drawing. Right now I don't have a photo that shows the finished product of the same. May be later.. And yeah, you just need to give a tip from your own heart and pocket to the artist.

And the art gallery was just out of this world, I tell you. That's what I meant by filling my house with the art collections some day. And actually you can find more affordable ones outside the gallery. Like, they're everywhere in the street. All you need is to pick and choose.

And there were statues, of course. But we can't possible put any in our houses, right? Anyways, point is, it's an island full of arts. That has made me feel so humbled.

Halal Hub & Bali

Assalamu'alaikum. I have always loved islands and beaches (not bitches, ok?). But if I were to choose between Phuket and Bali, I'd vote for Phuket. That was before I went to Bali recently. Now I beg to differ. But yeah, first love remains in your hearts forever..

Just like Phuket, rumours said that you won't find halal food easily in Bali. Again, that has gotta be experienced yourselves to prove otherwise. When there's a will, there's a way. You've gotta make it very clear to your tourist guide how steadfast you are when it comes to halal hub. And I tell you what, you've just gotta go to a seafood restaurant called 'Warung Akame'. Mind blowing to the max, really! Here are two pictures taken from its blog (

If you feel like sitting in a gazebo kinda place, you can choose to sit here with an extra charge of IDR 100k, approximately USD 10.00 / MYR 31.00. But if you can't stand mosquitos, I'd rather not if I were you, especially at night. We sat there and decided not to the 2nd night we went. Yeah, we went there two consecutive nights. Too wonderful, as you may conclude.

And for those who're rushing to the airport and wanna have a fab Padang cuisine, do try Rumah Makan ACC, which is only 5 minutes away from Bandara Denpasar. I affix herewith a photo from Irene. A (

Like all Minang restaurants in Indonesia, they would line up all kinds of dishes and you can savour any or every plate thereof. I didn't even bother others and focused on its extra fabulous beef rendang. Too good, really! For 7 plates we took, together with cold drinks (4 of us), the total bill was hardly IDR 100k. Alhamdulillah...

Well, that's all for today.. Would blog more about my trip to Bali later. And do forgive me for just affixing pictures from other sources. As usual, I didn't get to snap much photos at eating places coz before I knew it, everything just disappeared from the plates! Anyways, thanks for dropping by.. Love you much!

Cut It Off, Turtles..!

Assalamu'alaikum. I have a particular Muslimah 'romper' kinda swimming suit that I seldom use. One of the reasons being quite troublesome to do your callings in the toilet. But the main reason is that I'm not really keen of its turtle neck. Can't seem to get used to it.

So what I did was quite extreme ~ I scissored both sides of the collar off. Then only it felt good to wear. Easy?
I guess it's time for me to get a new pair of Muslimah swimming suit, now that I have a jolly good reason to do so. Yipppie...!

Assalamu'alaikum. Meet my new shades, the aviator look-alike. You can even call them wanna-bees.

But I view them as Wanna See.. Hehehe.

Now You See, Then You Saw.. Seesaw

Assalamu'alaikum. I mean, who on earth doesn't know this game? Jongkang-Jongket we call it in Malay. Seesaw in English. And I never outgrow myself for a ride or two until now, even. My son shares the same feeling, obviously. What about you?

I've been accompanying my son to play seesaw since he was still a toddler. Right up to this date. Like, what else is new?

Hold Your Heart With Imaan

Assalamu'alaikum. Alhamdulillah..

Assalamu'alaikum. Those who always appear to be smiling doesn't necessarily mean that they are always happy. Rest assured, everybody has problems when he/she has come of age except for lunatics.. For Allah has taken away all senses from their understanding and awareness. Thus, we should be thankful for our existing understanding and awareness. Alhamdulillah..

No matter what has happened, life must go on. We don't have to carry forward the past nor fast-forward the future. Value what we have today instead, with gratitude.

Ingatlah.. Sesungguhnya Allah bersama-sama kita..

Remember.. What make us different from one another are imaan and taqwa. No matter how strong we are in this world, we will end up into the soil where we came from. Until then, let's put everything to Allah. He is the Most Administrous of everything, in the Heaven and Earth and what lies in between. Don't be afraid and don't be sad. Indeed, Allah is with us...

Leopard Meets Abaya, dear Shawl..

Assalamu'alaikum. I'm wearing an abaya today. Black and basic. With leopard print maxi shawl from Etcetera KL. That has somehow appeared to be quite a statement for my OOTD. At least to me, darlings.. ;)

I'll be talking a lot about Etcetera KL from today onwards. Please bear with me, ya.. ^_^
It's my sister's first online business, actually. I'll do my level best to help in every possible way WITHIN my capacities.

Oh, by the way.. I've got my 1st aviator shades today!

I'd love to get my hands on the famous aviator shape per se, but my shortcomings are too serious that the optometrist didn't recommend. So, I've gotta settle for the look-alike from Calvin Klein Jeans.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for dropping by, love you much!

WTF Are Men Thinking

Assalamu'alaikum. When I went out for a date with my hubby last week, I bagged myself a mind-blowing book, WTF Are Men Thinking? The first ever reaction from him was, "Is there any WTF Are Women Thinking?". I guess that's at least one common interest both genders have. That is, to know what on earth are we thinking. Like, the feeling is in fact mutual.

Anyways, I've covered the 1st part of the book, i.e. Communication. I'm on the 2nd now, i.e. Dating. And why do I want to read this book? Because I'm a woman and he is a guy and I seldom have the clue as to what he's actually thinking. To me, there's no limit to getting to know your own self or your own spouse or BOTH, for that matter. And at least whatever input I'm getting from the book will help me to understand guys' thinking in general. That, my ladies will be a whole good thing to us!

So, yeah.. I got it for RM39.90 at the MPH. But what I got was way beyond that amount of money. 250,000 men were involved in the making of this particular awesome book, which was founded on a series of researches. I don't know you, but I for once is dying to know WTF are men thinking!

Holler to Christopher Brya & Miguel Almaraz IV...!

Water Element

Assalamu'alaikum. I'm a lady of water. I love to sit near water for hours doing absolutely nothing, when I have the chance to do so. This picture was taken somewhat three years ago at a waterfall in Batang Kali (Ulu Yam), Selangor Darul Ehsan. It's been a while, but I can still feel the coolness of its water. The mere thought warms my heart, calms my heated days.

I actually have loads of other pictures taken and saved someplace in the hard disc. Gotta find them one of these days. Anyways, thanks for dropping by, love you much.

Alah Membeli, Menang ke Kalah?

Assalamu'alaikum. Cik Beskal rosak. Dah lama daaaaah...

Huaaaaaaargh...... Terkesima haku! Tapi takpe. Takpe... Kutahan, Jebat! Bab2 bertahan ni aku memang la legend, kaaaaan? Hehehe. Yeah, right! Batasannya, kemampuan. Owh, sungguh ketat bajet haku, beb..!

So, agak2 apa yang aku duk riki2 tu? Asus Zenbook vs Macbook Air, korang. Waaaaah... Harus la, kaaaaaaaan? Ngeh3x. Tak salah menyimpan impian, tak gitiew? Tapi kan korang, sebenarnya duk beli menda2 sewaktu dengan notebook/laptop/ultrabook ni, memang banyak yang harga mampu milik. Cuma itu la, cepat nau rosaknya. Apa kata kali ni kita berdikit2 penuhkan tabung syiling dan bersabar, bersabar dan terus bersabar, sampai la bleh beli kebaboooom Asus Zenbook ataupun Macbook Air? Apa kata? Sekali, bila tabung penuh.. Dah ada generasi baru Asus dan Macbook! Heheheh.

Aku bukan apa, leceh kalu Macbook ni. Bukannya ada Adobe Flash Player pon. Beli mahal2, itu pon takde ke, weh? Macam ipad jugak.. Kena install Photon. Padahal sebab harga.. Heheheh.

Takpe la korang. Aku hantar la kejap Cik Beskal tu kat kedai Ah Ti bawah ofis aku tu. Dia mesti tergolek2 tengok Cik Beskal, maklum la desktop ofis dia pon Apple. Masa aku tanya dua bulan lepas nak beli Samsung Galaxy Note 2 ke HTC, dia jawab: "I-Phone 5 maaaaa...!" Hurmmmm...

Sayaaaaaaaang korang!

Ok la, nampak tak Cik Beskal? Kat sebelah aku tu.. Yang kaler hijau tu. Nanti la len kali aku amik gambo dia secara solo. Ok la ekk, aku nak gi Bukit Bintang kejap. Ada hal sket. Sekian, terima kasih. Assalamu'alaikum.

Lock Screen Image

Assalamu'alaikum. I'm sure most of you guys have your own lock or home screen images on your handphone. Mine used to be this one:

I alternately change the lock or home screen image(s) every now and then. Just like the profile pictures for Whatsapp, Blackberry Messenger, Instagram or Facebook. I think you guys can easily relate to that, right? Some of you might as well tend to change them every five hours or so, if not less. Am I right? ^_^

There goes nothing. Thanks anyway for dropping by, love you much!

Saturday Night Fever

Assalamu'alaikum. It's been a while since I last wore jeans with long sleeve shirt and sport shoes. Just like the good old days when I was in uni. Last night I did so. The square maxi shawl was from Nadia Hijab.

The live band was quite good, especially when one of the musicians played the saxophone and did Kenny G's "The Moment". Very nice...

I was as usual among the few hijabis around, apart from some Arab women. Easy for the band members to notice, actually. ^_^ They even came to me and said Hi.

How's your weekend so far?

Plain Cotton Shawl & Plain Make-Up

Assalamu'alaikum. I got myself a few plain cotton shawls last week. Super easy & comfy, I loved all of them. I wish I could buy all colors, but of course I didn't. The following 2 pictures were taken last Friday at 2 separate occasions. The lighting was different, so the color of the hijab looked somewhat different.

You love make-ups? I love to see girls with make-up. But I guess I'm more convenient with serum, day/night cream, compact powder, lip gloss and lipstick. I wish I knew how to put on make-ups like most girls do..

I guess that's why I keep choosing bright outfits, so that I won't be looking way too plain. ^_^

Double Decker HOHO & Dilwale DLJ

Assalamu'alaikum. Was it 19 years ago? Yeah, that long since I first fell in love with Shah Rukh Khan as Raj and Kajol as Simran in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. There was this part where they shot on London's famous Double Decker Hop On Hop Off bus. Hurmmm.. Nostalgic to the max, y'all...! That's exactly what I first thought of when I was boarding a double decker bus last year. Could even hear the soundtrack at the back of my ears.

Like, once in love.. Forever Will Be. Yeah, foolish me!

And this one:

Too Much Love

Assalamu'alaikum. Have you ever felt that you've got kinda excessive love in your heart? Have you ever felt like throwing up because of that? Sampai nak muntah hijau. Pernah?

Well, don't. For love is a feeling direct from Allah. No one can ever fake or even force it. Natural is how love goes. Straight from your heart. Once you're in love, why should you try not to be? Let it be. Let it be. It's the most beautiful feeling that exclusively yours to cherish. Even if it's not meant to be shared mutually, it's still beautiful. Because it is yours and truly yours only. No one can ever take it away from you. Coming from Allah, it will only go away because of Him.

Now, have you ever felt such strong love? If you have the urge to hurt those who refused to love you back, why fret? If you love someone so hard, you would never have any ill feeling towards that person. You just can't bring yourself to hurt that person. If you do, then your love has never been because of Allah in the first place. How about doing some internal checking of your own heart?

To me, you bleed in love, yes. But that doesn't mean you have to cause others any bleeding in return. The more you retaliate, the emptier your heart will feel. For true love knows no boundaries. Not even conditional, to begin with. Learn to forgive. Learn to let go. Your love will set you free.

Jarang sangat tengok TV dan tiapkali tgk Fear Factor ni mesti dah tengah2 atau akhir2 kalu tak awal2 nye saje. Busy la konon.. Harooooos la, kaaaaan? Tengok part Elfira Loy menjerit2 takut kat katak, aku pon rasa nak menjerit sama. Sebab aku mmg la takut yg amat kat makhluk Allah tu.

Wednesday Outdoor Overload

Assalamu'alaikum. I've been attending appointments outdoor since morning. Now I'm writing this at a nearby Starbucks. Alone. Waiting for another appointment after Asar. And the last one for today would be after Isya' prayer. A little bit too packed, actually. However, I somehow found myself time to window shop for any latest shawls.

See the outfit for today, isn't it quite casual? I chose to layer the green blouse with a yellow sleeveless knitted top and pair it with a beige A-Cut skirt. The colorful striped hijab however seemed to make everything even less formal, don't you think?

Thank God the salesgirl of the hijab kiosk was such a good sport and happily snapped a few pictures for me. There you go.. Hope you like what you saw. Catch you later, dear friends. Thanks for dropping by, love you much!

My Tuesday Colors & The Spelling of ان شاء الله

Assalamu'alaikum. Today I chose to wear everything that didn't require any ironing. Comfy and served the purpose, I'd say. Let's take a look:

I have lost so much weight, and in the process of regaining some.

But as of now, I haven't taken my lunch. I'll take dinner in a short while,Insya Allah. Oh, ya.. There's a ruling by Dr. Juanda, the Mufti of Perlis as per the writing (spelling) of ان شاء الله -
that there's nothing wrong with the normal spelling of Insya Allah (or any other kind of spellings) for they are not in the form of Arabic language. Whoever write it obviously means to refer to God's Willing, i.e.

I love that. I agree with that. So long as we pronounce it the way it really is, then let's not fret and lose our heads debating about some less important thing.

With that, I sign off. Thanks for dropping by, love you much!

Growing Pains

Assalamu'alaikum. I have always had mixed feelings everytime I go to KL Sentral. Especially if I take the LRT to go there. Like today. But something was very different with me when I left.

I felt so... well, grown up? That made me a little bit uneasy inside. It was like facing the truth and embracing it with my entire system. That sure was quite something, to me at the very least.

But yes, life is but a process of growing up. Let's just go on living in our own separate ways. In the end, we're going back to our Creator.

Fudge Me Tender

Assalamu'alaikum. My favorite cake is Chocolate Fudge of Secret Recipe apart from Red Velvet of Delicious. Like, never get tired of them?

I used to love Chocolate Indulgence but for the past few months, Chocolate Fudge has taken the throne from the former. Not that I always go for cakes, not good for health and diet, of course. But every now and then, each time I go to any Secret Recipe outlets, I'd go for a slice of the same if I feel like having any.

So, what's yours?

Under The Same Sun

Assalamu'alaikum. Here's a picture of myself taken earlier this morning. My old friend just came back from London and Paris and gave me a new maxi shawl from Primark. Very nice shawl. Love it to death! Can't wait to go there myself..!

My day started early.. After Subuh prayer already hit the road to Subang and back. Took breakfast at home and went to get groceries but Jusco wasn't open yet. Thank God Giant came to the rescue. Gonna have an appointment later after lunch.

Me & Mrs. Grasshopper, The Sunny.

Assalamu'alaikum. How's your Saturday so far? Mine has been smooth, Alhamdulillah. As of now, I have just finished preparing the main course for lunch. Yeah, my day started very early today. Gotta meet some old friends later, that's why.

I'm sure by now you have come to get used to my oversized sunny, right?
I call her Mrs. Grasshopper, actually. And being a specky, no ordinary sunny would serve the purpose UNLESS it comes with customized power.

So, that makes Mrs. Grasshopper a cute oversized Power Rangers kinda sunny.

There goes nothing, thanks anyway for dropping by. Until next time, Cheerio..! Much Love, Nai at Tak Pe Je.

Assalamu'alaikum. Last night I had an appointment at 9pm with a prospective client. I took the chance to dine at the Johnny's, our favorite steamboat restaurant right after Mahgrib prayer. The timing was just nice, actually. Once I finished my dinner, the client texted me to let me know that she was around already.

Formal Dinner Attire

Assalamu'alaikum. So last night I went to a place that required me to dress up for the occasion. I decided to wear my black maxi dress from Hijabi Boutique and let's see the following pictures:

I paired it with a beige 3-quarter blouse that I buttoned at the back. So, it served both as a cardigan as well as modest cover at the back. To complete the look, I carried my bling bling clutch that I got some time ago.

It's been a while since I dressed up like this. Felt quite good, actually.

See the stupid grin? Hehehe.
