HFW Day 3 ~ Time Travel

Salam. The theme for Hijabi Fashion Week today (Day 3) is Time Travel.
I decided to share my late father's special gift to me, which he'd been keeping since he was in his teens:
  Terengganu Songket (hand-woven textile).

I made it into an A-Shape long skirt about 10 years ago, after just folding the fabric ever so lovingly donkey years beforehand.

I paired the green songket skirt with red blouse and rainbow chiffon hijab. And some matching accessories.

He was all smiles the first time he saw me wore the skirt, and every other time that followed.

Well, I hope you guys like what you see and smile too..
Thanks for dropping by.
xx, TPJ.

  1. I'm sure the songket brings a lot of sentimental value to you.It sure does.I also received a top long time ago from my mom,and even it's already old and torn out,I never wanted to throw it away.
Same goes with a watch my mom gave to me,it works still fine, just too worn out,but also I will always wear it.

    1. Yes it does, dear. Can't bring myself to wear it after he's gone. Irreplaceable ones, all our parents..
